About Our Work

For years, The Math Yogis (Dr. Nick “The Math Guy”) have supported schools through Tier 1 Consulting and coaching. The organization has partnered with schools to meet them where they are with their teachers and programs. Through collaborations with organizations such as the UCLA Math Project, Illustrative Mathematics, UnBoundEd, Teaching Lab, and others, we bring proven practices and a wide range of tools to help schools improve their math instruction.

Yes. Good results can also happen when teachers need support, but the core challenge is not yet fully clear. In those cases, we can help diagnose the situation and build a focused plan moving forward.
Absolutely. We can report directly to the principal with regular check-ins and ongoing alignment to ensure the work stays effective and sustainable.
In limited cases, we can offer short-term support such as:
- Delegated leadership in math instruction (when staff culture is stable)
- Student-facing services like small group instruction (short-term only)
We do not recommend consulting services when:
- School culture is at a crisis level
- Teachers lack sufficient planning time due to coverage issues
- Significant staff turnover is expected soon
- The work requested is one-off (such as sub plans, single documents, or substitute teaching)
